Eyewash Preservative

An eyewash preservative is a clear, colorless liquid that is used in a portable station to help keep the flushing fluid free of contaminants and bacteria.  One bottle of the preservative is put into potable water and will preserve the water between three and six months depending upon the manufacturer's instructions.

After the expired time period, the flushing fluid needs to be removed from the station. Fresh potable water, with a new bottle of eyewash preservative should be added.  Unused, the solution has a two year shelf life and should be stored between 36 - 104ยบ F.
