Safety Tip of the Week:

An eye wash station is necessary in all industries that handle chemicals and hazardous materials.  The temperature of the flushing fluid is just as important outdoors as indoors.  Most are concerned about the temperature in the winter going below 60 degrees and not being ANSI compliant, but another concern is the flushing fluid exceeding 100 degrees.  This can happen in industrial areas without air conditioning and outdoors where sun  exposure heats the water to uncomfortable levels.  When installing an eye wash station, take into consideration all seasons and climate changes.

Bradley's Heat-Traced Emergency Shower w/ Eye & Face Wash Station is made with polyethylene vertical semi-slit pipe insulation in a highly visible yellow plastic shell that is designed for use in areas with extremely cold temperatures that fall below freezing.  The heat valve protects against freezing up to -50ºF and ensures that there is a continual flow of water through the valve.  The SpinTec Shower-head provides a consistent distribution from the shower in order to conserve water.  The shower is activated by a triangular handle pull rod and the eye/face wash is activated by a large push handle.
