Fire Blankets

Fire Blankets can be a life saving device. They are a piece of fire safety equipment that can offer that extra piece of mind by having one in your home or office. Basically, you would put the blanket over a fire to smother it. You also have the option to wrap it around yourself for protection from the heat of the fire. If the fire is small enough, it is a “clean” way to put it out. Some fire extinguishers will leave a residue after putting out a fire, a fire blanket will not. It will put out both liquid and grease fires. It is usually made from fiberglass or wool and can conveniently be stored in a compact container which can be easily opened and pulled out in an emergency.
