Safety Tip of the Week:

An eye wash station is necessary in all industries that handle chemicals and hazardous materials.  The temperature of the flushing fluid is just as important outdoors as indoors.  Most are concerned about the temperature in the winter going below 60 degrees and not being ANSI compliant, but another concern is the flushing fluid exceeding 100 degrees.  This can happen in industrial areas without air conditioning and outdoors where sun  exposure heats the water to uncomfortable levels.  When installing an eye wash station, take into consideration all seasons and climate changes.

Burn Aid

The most critical time for the treatment of burns is the time between when the burn occurs and the speed in which the burn aid is administered.  The longer the burn is left untreated can be the determining factor in the permanent damage that occurs.  Burn aid treatment products are specific to burns and come in a variety of types including: burn gels, fire blankets, ointments and bandages.  The burn aid kits and burn aid treatment products below are specific in the treatment of burns.  Burn blankets and gels are key to successful treatment of serious burns.
