Protective Head Gear in any commercial setting is a very important aspect of any safety program. Workers are always exposed to head injury and should be provided the necessary protective head gear. Protection from falling objects, lateral protection for striking against low hanging objects and protection against electrical head hazards should be provided by the employer as part of their safety program. Protective head gear must meet the guidelines as outlined in ANSI Z89.1-1986 and OSHA 29 CFR 1910.135.
Protective Head Gear in an industrial setting is the "Hard Hat". A hard hat should be ANSI compliant and Osha approved. Some industrial settings require hard hat compatibiltiy with face shields and earmuffs. Hard Hats have a protective liner that ensures the proper fit. This liner provides an open space between the hard hat and the worker's head. If an object hits the hard hat or falls onto the hard hat, this open space absorbs the blow. Protective head gear can also provide construction workers protection from some electrical hazards.
Select Safety Sales offers a range of head protection products designed to protect against falling objects, lateral impact and hot and cold environments. We also provide customized logo identification on the bump caps and hard hats.
