PPE Personal Protective Equipment - Safety Products

» Hand Protection   » Protective Clothing   » Fall Protection

PPE Personal Protective Equipment ensures the safety of all employees. Accidents on the job cost employers millions of dollars every year. Eye, respiratory, hearing, head, hand, clothing, foot and fall protection are a cost effective way to keep employees safe and a business in compliance with the law. PPE Programs should be implemented in hazardous work environments. The hazards should be assessed and Personal Protective Products should be selected based on this assessment. Employees should be trained in the proper use of the PPE.  Monitoring of the program will ensure it's effectiveness.

» Faucet Eyewash Station   » Thermostatic Mixing Valve   »  Eyewash Parts

The selection and installation of an eyewash station or emergency shower is an important component of an industrial safety program.  With the new ANSI 2009 standard, employers need to make certain that the emergency eyewash or emergency shower provides 15 minutes of continuous flow with the flushing fluid's temperature being between 60ºF & 100ºF.  The eyewash station must be within ten seconds walking distance of the hazard.  Workers who are exposed to corrosive materials should be aware of ANSI Z358.1 2009 emergency eyewash requirements.

Injury or death from fire or carbon monoxide can be prevented by installing the proper fire extinguisher type, the most up-to-date smoke alarms and carbon monoxide detectors in your business and home. Tragedies can be prevented by monthly fire safety inspection of your fire extinguishers, testing of your smoke alarms and carbon monoxide detectors and a semi-annual change of the alarm batteries.
