Fire Helmets and Rescue Helmets consist of many types for the fire & rescue industry including firefighters and first responders.  Lightweight Kevlar is a preferred material for the shell of the helmet as it offers superior strength and durability, resists very high temperatures, weighs considerably less than other type of rescue helmets and lasts many more years than thermoplastic helmets.  UV rays do not have any effect on the shell of a kevlar rescue helmet.
