OCCUPATIONS THAT WILL BENEFIT FROM THE OSHA COURSE

OSHA RECOMMENDED (Reviewed and Accepted by OSHA)

• OSHA standards require additional training for specific hazards on the job

COMPLETION CARD

• A certificate can be printed after successful completion of the training course and an OSHA 10 Hour Completion Card will be mailed within 4 to 6 weeks from OSHA and the Department of Labor.   Laminated cards are available upon request

 
TESTING

• A score of 70 is required on ALL module quizzes in order go move forward with the course.  A score of 70 is also required on the Final Exam.  This exam can be taken up to three times in order to receive the OSHA completion card

COVERED MATERIAL

• The function of OSHA and a general understanding of the OSHA Act
• Procedures and important basics of an OSHA Compliance Inspection
• Employer and employee responsibilities under the OHSA Act
• Hazard control in the workplace
• Tools and knowledge to identify control and eliminate workplace hazards
• Employees are taught to be proactive within their work environment in regards to safety issues and concerns

REQUIRED BY SOME STATES FOR WORKERS ON CERTAIN SIZE PUBLIC CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS

• New York, New Hampshire, Connecticut, Missouri and Rhode Island require the 10 hour training course for certain size Public Construction Projects.  Consult your state for their requirements.
