The Universal Ionization DC 9 Volt Silence Smoke Alarm is fast and easy to install and can easily replace existing smoke alarms.  This smoke alarm comes with a mounting plate which can be installed over any standard rectangular or octagonal drywall cutout or junction box.  The UL approved alarm has an 85 dB horn and a dual ionization sensor, which can be silenced and automatically reset to dismiss nuisance alarms.  A chamber cover protects the smoke alarm and is designed to keep away insects and contaminants from entering the device.
