Speakman's SE-362 is a Thermostatic Mixing Valve for use on one emergency shower or multiple eyewash applications.  This mixing valve is set at the factory to deliver 85ºF outlet flow.  The SE-362 mixing valve is made of a thermostat housed in a brass casing.  The thermostatic cartridge responds to changes in the hot and cold water supplies.  If the element fails the valve will provide cold water flow.  With the new ANSI Z-358.1 2009 standard, it is now mandatory that the the water be not just tepid, but be between 60 and 100 degrees fahrenheit.  Thermostatic mixing valve should be vandal resistant with the use of lockout/tagout.
