The Speakman Safe-T-Zone SE-693-ADA is made for situations when employees with disabilities are being considered.  It is a Combination Shower and Eyewash that has a floor mounted emergency deluge shower and an SE-582 Eyewash with dual aerated spray outlets with flip top covers.  Shower is supplied with a 1" NPTF stay-open full flow ball valve; the shower head is extended out 13" further than the standard SE-693 which is activated by a high visibility yellow triangular pull handle which is extended whereby the handle is a maximum of 48" from floor.  Eyewash has a 1/2" NPTM stay-open full flow valve which is activated by a push handle.  To shut off the emergency shower, the valve needs to be manually closed.  Activation of the eyewash is done by pushing the handle back 90 degrees.  Testing of the eyewash and emergency shower should be done weekly to flush the line and ensure proper operation.  A tag is supplied to initial at each inspection.
