Opti-Klens Eyewashes & Eye/Face Washes are a cost effective way of installing an eyewash when a sink is available and in an area easy to access. Protection from eye injury can be accomplished without the expensive plumbing costs associated with the installation of a water line and drainage system provided a sink is available. Opti-Klens units meet the ANSI standards and are accepted by OSHA which governs the eyewash industry. Choices of the Opti Klens eyewashes include a simple eyewash as offered in the Opti-Klens IE, as an eye and face wash with the Opti-Klens llE Regular and an eye and face wash in a laboratory setting with the Opti-Klens llE Lab.
With these models you no longer have to turn the faucet on or off by the handles. With the water on at the faucet, all that needs to be done is to push the rod to one side where the water flows into the sink. Then adjust the temperature using the faucet handles to meet the tempered water requirement. Do not use the faucet handles to shut off the flow into the sink. Push the rod in the eliminator valve the opposite direction to stop the flow, then use only that rod to turn on the water flow. The eyewash or eye/face wash will function at all times, with or with out water flowing into the sink.
