Respirators

Respirators protect the wearer from the inhalation of harmful particulate dusts, dangerous fumes and gases.  Respirators are offered in a wide range of types for all industries, the military and for the consumer. 

Respirators range from an air purifying respirator to a supplied air respirator.  The air purifying respirator acts as a filter and intercepts the contaminants and prevents the particles from reaching the face or air passages of the wearer.  An air purifying respirator consist of disposable respirators mostly made of a paper material while full face respirators and half face respirators which use respirator cartridges to protect against a vast array of contaminants, particulates and gases.  A PAPR (Powered Air Purifying Respirators) takes contaminated air, removes it and replaces it with clean air.   A supplied air respirator uses an alternate supply of fresh air to bypass the current air environment.
